A native Tennessean, Ben has a passion for design details and firmly believes the built environment can shape one’s viewpoints for the better. He received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and is currently a licensed architect, holding a Construction Document Technologist (CDT) certification. After beginning his architectural career with Carlton-Edwards in 2014, working in both Asheville and Memphis offices, Ben moved to Nashville to a larger firm gaining experience in the commercial and aviation market sectors. He rejoined the Carlton-Edwards Team in 2020 in the Nashville office.
Given his beliefs in empowering the next generation of design professionals, Ben serves as a mentor for the ACE Mentor Program of America at Stratford STEM Magnet High School in East Nashville, assisting on student-based projects and teaching students about the design/construction community. He is also currently a member of the Phoenix Club of Nashville, participating in volunteer opportunities and working with local non-profits to secure funding directly benefiting Middle Tennessee’s underserved youth.
Ben can be found outside of the office at the local sporting clays course, working in the yard or exploring Nashville with his wife Halie and their dog, Hugo.
