When the owners of our Town Mountain renovation project approached Carlton Edwards, we knew what we had a great opportunity to take their fixer-upper and turn it into a dream home. The location can’t be beat, and the home itself teemed with potential.
The first items of business were to reinforce and revamp the exterior of the home and reconfigure the interior for a more contemporary look and feel. The entryway is truly grand and features a square pivot-hinge door preceded by a crab orchard flagstone walkway that extends through the foyer. The staircase from entry to living spaces serves both form and function, with dark-stained white oak and custom iron and woodwork. The open kitchen and living area is light-filled and modern, exemplifying a “modern chalet” sensibility.
