“For me, architecture, interiors, and landscape are conceived as one — yielding a seamless, thoughtful response to the site and tailored to each client and their family. Every project is unique, and the details speak to our team’s talent and passion for design.” — Jeff Edwards

Architecture & Design in Memphis
Rather than a singular vision, Jeff responds to the client, the site, and the cultural and architectural character of the Mid-South. The result is work that feels entirely inevitable, as though nothing else could have belonged there.
Memphis rewards that sensitivity. Its architectural heritage of historic neighborhoods, classical detail, and a tradition of craftsmanship demands fluency across styles and periods. Jeff brings that fluency, along with an unusually complete design vision that extends from architecture through interiors, landscape, and custom furniture. It is a design vision in which every element is considered and every detail connects to the whole.
The Memphis studio’s work spans new construction and deep restoration, often within the same project. A current multi-phase project encompasses architecture, interiors, and landscape within a grand historic home, with period pieces of genuine provenance setting the standard for everything designed around them. For clients drawn to this level of specificity, Carlton Edwards brings to Memphis architecture something rare: equal fluency in the restored tile roof and the rug anchoring the room below it.
Carlton Edwards works with clients who want more than a beautiful building. They want a home that reflects who they are, designed by someone willing to go all the way to get it right.
This studio has designed custom homes and commercial projects across Memphis and the surrounding region, including:
Pickwick Lake · Counce · Central Gardens · Colonial · East Memphis · Germantown · Collierville · Midtown
