Tip Top is a family lake retreat perched high on a bluff overlooking the Tennessee River at Pickwick Lake. A steel and timbered entry bridge greets guest from an arrival court and leads one into the uppermost level of the home which steps down the hillside revealing panoramic waterfront-lake views at each level. The interiors are carefully crafted with a modern spirit reinterpreting classic mid-century detailing which can be seen in the design of the fireplace with its floating stucco “hood” and cantilevered concrete hearth anchored to the stacked stone fire backing. The home features many custom furniture pieces, a collaboration between our design team and local craftsmen.
