After Richard finished an Associate’s Degree in Drafting and Design Technology in 2004, he took a job with John Harrison Jones Architect in Memphis as a draftsman, where he worked with Jeff Edwards. After working for several years at this firm he decided that there was a need to go back to school to pursue a degree in architecture and left Memphis in 2007 for Mississippi State University. Richard graduated with a Bachelor’s in Architecture from Mississippi State University in 2012. Immediately after graduation, he worked for a residential contractor in Gulfport, MS as a designer and cost estimator before accepting a job with Joseph Orr Architecture, LLC in Canton, MS as an intern architect working on commercial projects. After nearly 3 years with Joseph Orr, Richard received a phone call from Jeff Edwards asking if he was interested in moving to Memphis to join the Carlton-Edwards team. Richard joined Carlton-Edwards in September of 2016.
