Rob Carlton began his architectural career in the mid-1990s after graduating from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville where he received his Bachelor of Architecture. After years of practice with larger firms in Tennessee and Asheville, Rob sought to establish a progressive architectural firm focused on redefining the conventional notion of Appalachian mountain architecture. Driven by a sense of stewardship for the land and reverence for architecture that is relevant and timeless, Carlton Edwards was born.
Rob is also a licensed general contractor in North Carolina and South Carolina and is the qualifier for Carlton Edwards Construction. In providing this continuity of service, Rob’s hands-on approach to the design and construction process brings together his vision as an architect and passion for the highest standards of craft.
