Carlton Edwards designed the interior architecture and finishes of the Jolene Residence, a modern home in College Grove, Tennessee, set within rolling pastoral views. The interior environment balances openness with finely executed detail. Clean lines, custom millwork, and a quiet material palette create a restrained backdrop for light, landscape, and furnishings by Vernich Interiors.
Across the residence, the interior architecture carries the firm’s integrated approach. Wood slat partitions define transitions with sculptural rhythm; built-in cabinetry delivers concealed functionality; tailored stonework introduces a sense of permanence; and expansive glass panels frame the site as an extension of the interior rooms. Architectural elements set the visual hierarchy, giving the furnishings a calm, deliberate frame.
Every detail, from the proportion of a door surround to the alignment of cabinetry, reflects Carlton Edwards’ dedication to craft and precision. The result is a refined, contemporary residence where the architecture and its interiors read as one continuous experience.
